Tony, I forgot to ask you, where did you get the 4.6 block? To the rest of the list: SOrry I don't have info on the assembly so far. I'm still too focused on trying to finish the chassis. It should go pretty quick once I get started though. Everything has been blueprinted and pre-assembled... I've still got to fab an intake plenum too... As soon as I get to the assembly I'll link to my build site with successes and problems... Thanks for everyone's patience on this. 600hp! WOW. I'm just shooting for 275.
I just thought Id offer this up to the thread. I received a reply from Woody. "Mine are milled to 49cc, my engine shop said you be able to remove 20-30 Thous. without running into intake problems."
stupid question but can you use stock iron 300 valves for the alumin head, as i read somewhere the 300 al heads had smaller valves then the 300 iron head?
The iron heads have bigger valves. I don't have the sizes, but there's a pretty big difference in them. Jim
We were playing around with a crusty head I sliced up yesterday... The intakes look pretty straight foreward but the exhausts are pretty restrictive.. we did a layout and welded up the port floor and raised the roof.. man did that ever straighten it out.. we are going to do some baseline testing with a stock port and then start modeling with a full port with clay to build up the floor and raise the roof in layers to see where that gets us.
