I was hoping Sean would check in and share his knowledge with us smallblock fans. So maybe I can stir his interest by starting a thread on cam recommendations.

I'm running a K-B Mk2A hydraulic in my '64 aluminum head motor. I highly recommend this profile (Poston has a very similar one) to any body looking to pick up the performance of their 4-barrel 300.

    The lift is .475"I x .488"E, 270 x 278 duration on a 110-degree lobe center.

She idles around 800 rpm in gear. Nice little lope due to the dual pattern. Runs really smooth up through the 5500 rpm range. Works really well with the 500 cfm Carter.

I'm going to stay with this cam for this year then replace it with a stock profile cam this winter. Dayton Cams ground a replacement for me for $140. .401" I/E, 220-degrees @.050" duration on a 106-degree lobe center.

I'd be interested in learning about other cam experiences, particularly if anybody is running a legal stock eliminator car.
