Over the years, this has been a very successful event started by Phil Green and the Austin Area Buicks in 2004. Their idea to pick a track and organize a Buick take over is also a great way to come hang out with your fellow Buick nuts! We look forward to seeing you there!! P.S. - If you can't bring your Buick, no problem. We welcome all racers wanting to run with the Buicks in "Team K". :TU:
Thanks Carl for starting up this years brand X bash. I think it is a great idea. This was the intent for the brand x bash to see diffrent tracks visit with friends. Everyone, it has been a while since everyone has met up to share the great Buick comraderie we all experience. In this event we are actually doing what the race was intended for us to do and that was load the field full of Buicks or Buick supported vehicles and extract all other contenders. In the First X bash it was the white back halfed nova. Anyone remember it? We need to have some more expierences like JR wills contesting the White nova for the transbrake. Damn cheaters lol. Anyways I hope everyone can make it this year and I will see if I can rally some troops here in austin to go visit our Buick family on March 25th.
David and I are looking forward to going !!! We may bring the 85 Regal this year......not sure yet.... That car won the event back in 2005.. We would sure like to see a big turnout from the Buick guys around the state....just like the old days..... Jeff
It's getting closer to the date and it looks like there is going to be a good turnout if the weather holds up. Anyone else on the fence or planning on joining the party?
Will there be booths set up selling , parts, memorabilia, magzines, food, .,...ect, or is this just a flat out drag race? Never been, just want to know what to expect, when we arrive. Thanks,
This event is being run at/during the Texas Musclecar Club Challenge. Go to http://www.tmccc.org for the actual event rules and info.
Hi Kyle! This is just an annual get together of Buicks and friends looking for an excuse to gang up on an event and try to capture all the 1st place slots. There may be a few who bring parts to sell, but it is mostly just having fun racing, cooking on the grill and hanging out at the races. The more, the merrier! For those of you racing, the Buick team is identified by the letter "K" on the wind shields so that the tower will know who you are racing with. The classes are divided up according to your E.T. range as described in the above flyer. This is just your normal bracket style event with a .500 tree. The current forecast should make for a spectacular day of racing!
If all goes as planned, Looks like David will debut his 69 Prostreeter this year !!! I have taken my car to the last few, I think it's his turn... No excuses with regards to weather this year !! Looking forward to a nice turnout, and seeing everyone again. Jeff
Wow! That would be killer! It's a great looking ride and I really appreciate everyone joining us for making the trip.
Cool! We are going to try to park as close to the gate & tower as possible and set out some cones. Just look for the cluster of Buicks and a few other cars with the letter "K". :beer
Can you say I need to learn my race tracks,,,,,ou: I went to the wrong one, by the time I found out, it was to late to drive down. I will try to meet up with everyone at the next meet. Kyle
Whoops! Well, that's ok. I do really want to thank everyone for going out to support the event. It was really good to see so many of our fellow friends from all over the state. We even had someone show up from Kansas that was in DFW on business. :TU: If you are on Facebook, "Like" the Lone Star Performance Buick Club and view the event photos here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lone...formance-Buick-Club/198029476875515?sk=photos Photobucket users can go here to view the set from this and events past: http://s479.photobucket.com/albums/rr160/LSPBC/LSPBC Drag Racing/2012-032512 Brand X Bash/
