Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

It would be interesting to hear from the guys who bought them, when this thread started back in '09, to hear how they feel about the cars now, after 6 years.
I have a friend who works at a Ford Dealership as a diagnostics/electrical mechanic and he speaks very highly of the Fusion. Better than the much touted Focus.

been 5 years with the hybrid ...and so far so good , actually very good

NO issues whatsoever besides one tire air sensor that went bad ...had its first brake job and tire change a few months ago
has under 45k miles and nothing gone astray besides a few door dings

wife drives it 95% of time ....she fills up once every 5 weeks for her normal driving routes
regardless what the price of fuel is ......before that she would fill up 3 times a month for same driving
    route

my wife is not picky type that needs new color or differ car style so basically it will be a 20 year car for her easy and if not more

so no regrets whatsoever paying the extra $$ for being Hybrid

We have a 13 Fucus as a DD and were strongly leaning towards trading up to the Fusion Hybrid.

    Any troubles with the Fucus?

The automatic / manual trans is weird and takes getting used to but as far as trouble not had a issue. When we first got it the battery light would come on intermittently but the alt was still charging. Ford replaced the Alt anyway and solved the problem. Car gets consistently 30-35 mpg.

Glad to hear. Digging around on the old interweb, I'd say the Fusion has a very good reputation as a whole.
