Had started a thread on this some weeks back but pulled it after some complaints to the mods. Car is now ready and officially available for sale.Located in Live Oak Florida 32060. V8 board special price 6500.00 Listed elsewhere for 7500.00. Car has just under 124K miles. 3800 Series 3 engine. Completely serviced and ready to go. Fully loaded and exceptionally clean inside and out. Runs and drives like a proper Buick should. Couple minor issues that dont affect performance. Personally drove this car for close to 400 miles at an average of 28 mpg. Feel free to ask or message for details. Fly in and drive home or I can deliver for a fee. As with any used car no warranty is implied or expressed.

Lee, The CD player does not work. Had a disk stuck in it when I got it. Had to disassemble to remove and it would not take a disk in after I reinstalled. Issue 2 is the passenger side of the dual climate system does not work. It will blow cold but no heat on that side. Drivers side works as it should. She spent a week at the local GM dealer to replace the blend door actuators. After the dash was removed( what they had to pull to get back there) it was found the actuators were working fine but something was stuck or broken inside the plenum. That part is discontinued.

Ok. Thanks for letting me know. Looking at it for a family friend. I’ll let them know. BTW that’s a very nice car for the money

Sold this car yesterday. I'd been driving her around and had several prospective buyers drive it on long test drives without issue. 0 problems smooth as silk like one would expect of Buick. New owner left around 2 pm very happy, excited and loving her purchase. Signed bill of sale and title in hand. Last night around 9 I get a message that the car has displayed a message of low oil and to shut off engine immediately. Feel bad for her and tried to reassure its probably nothing more than a sensor as its got oil in it and the engine seems to have been running normal. Now my delima ....

Do I invest in finding out what the issue is and if its the worst case take the car back and refund her or partially pay for repairs... /... Orrr say sorry miss, bill of sale says sold as is as is no warranty expressed or implied . Pretty much already know what I'm doing.. the right thing.. what would you have done?

If your going to help her take it to your own mechanic or fix it yourself. Don't just send her a check without verification.

On top of that. Will be going to my preferred shop this morning. Asked her to bring it there.

The way I address this kind of question is to ask myself what price I would sell my integrity for.

This kind of situation comes up all the time, that is to say the opportunity for your character to be tested... Legally, you're in the clear, morally, maybe not so much.

Maybe it's something simple, maybe it's not. Either way, if you consider this as if your mother just bought this car and how you would want her to be treated, things begin to look very simple.

We all know you're a man of honor. That reputation is earned, not gifted.

You already know what the right thing to is.

Let us know how things work out.

Update. Car is fixed. OP sending unit failed and was leaking oil. Had to have happened after she left here as there is no oil spots where that car was parked. I paid the 175$ and wished her well. Happy ending!

As you know it was the right thing, great going glad it turned out.

I've had something similar occur and didn't go well. i agreed to look at and fix the problem with parts. They wanted me to have their "mechanic" fix it and I pay him. I explained I to am tech and prefer to save myself the money and insure it's fixed right, they insisted there was the only thing they wanted. I tried to compromise by paying half or which ever was more parts/labor. This is when it went bad and I did nothing. If people would simply communicate and work out there differences we'd all get along better.
