I agree with you about the right side mirror. Who in the world would NOT order it as a option on a Electra Limited back in the day?!?!? Here is a nice one that was recently for sale without the right mirror option. I originally saw this car on Facebook BEFORE the repaint. It was sold for $3800. Someone painted it and GR Auto Gallery sold the car for $10,000!! Here is the video. I will also attach the photos of the car before the repaint.

looks really sharp . I used to be in the paint and body business and can see how this much could be spent on a decent paint job. theres a LOT of
hours and hard work that goes into a car this size . you really do get what you pay for and just the cost of paint , primer , clear and all the other materials needed
can run a bill up in no time .

I agree but at the same time when you look closely at the car in these pictures you can tell that attention to detail is sorely missing in the silver car. Here is a link with several detailed close up pictures of the silver car after the paint and body work.

Here is a link to a 2 door twin to my 1976. I want it so bad I can taste it. However, 6 cars is enough for now. especially when I am already having to use other members of my family's garages for space already hahaha

I had originally spent years looking for a 2 door 1976 but decided in the end that I liked the no post 4 door better. (For the time being anyways, I am always looking for others lol)

Lovely car; - I've had a few of those over the years, there's nothing quite like a malaise-era Buick for ride and comfort. The thing rode like a couch, in fact, it got dangerous as I would sink into those soft comfortable seats and want to fall asleep. No road noise, could hear a pin drop, quadraphonic stereo 8 track pumping out the Dire Straits...747 like ride...I'm getting dreamy-eyed just remembering it...I'd still have one if my wife didn't hate them so much.

That white coupe is stunning, I only wish they had offered the Park Ave option on a coupe, coupe buyers got cheated out of that plush interior. The right hand mirror was actually very uncommon option even at that time of history, wasn't long after that that they started becoming much more common.

I bought a '75 2 door Ltd last spring. The car was an all original car with 18,500 miles. We have driven it touring and to shows and it currently has 20,200 miles. (It also had 1982 tires on it. Go figure!) The car drives like brand new and we love it. The car had a picture in the BCA Bugle 2 months ago from the Ct. BCA show and has won another 2 at car shows after that.

some cars do look better as four door hard tops and these are one of them .

I agree. Nonetheless, I loved the 1973 2 door hardtop most of all. Something interesting I just learned was that you could get a 1974 2-door Electra as either a hardtop or a post car (With Landau option). Here is a link to a all original 1973 2 door hardtop that sold for $20,000. That is high, I know, but the car was exceptional being original paint and all.

Also, here is a video of another great looking 2 door 1975 Electra that I almost bought.

Stangs, would you consider adding the fiber optic's option? It just about the only option I don't see on your beauty:)

Actually I would. To me, the car is very oddly optioned. It is the only 4 door 1976 Electra Limited I have ever seen without power door locks. It also does not have the wide body molding, cornering lamps or door mounted courtesy lamps. All of which I would love to have. Additionally, it does not have the power antenna or the speed alert options. Oddly enough, the car does have the most expensive single option available for that year which is the Automatic Climate Control. As a kid, I remember my moms issues with the Automatic Climate Control system on her 1973 Buick Estate Wagon. When I first purchased the car I was scared to death of getting that to work properly. After about 8 weeks and a lot of work it now operates perfectly. I am kind of glad that I went through that ordeal, because now I consider myself somewhat of a expert in the 1970's GM Automatic Climate Control systems. It was a definite learning experience!!!

Those Automatic Climate Control systems scare me as well, if I ever find a car with one of those that I'm considering buying, I'll remember you and probably will have a few questions for you. Thanks in advance if I ever find a car worth buying.

No, problem. Did you see the white 1976 2 door earlier in this thread? It is the twin to my 4 door and does have the Auto Climate Control

Yes, very nice. I think I like the 2 door cars better but would not turn down a 4 door if the price was right because either is hard to find.

I really like that black 2 door with red interior even though your car is nicer and that burgundy 2 door in the vid is absolutely beautiful! Would love to see a video walk around of your car.

Not to high jack, but my 74 225 didn't have power locks either and reaching back to unlock the passenger rear door was an effort, but more though kinda weird especially in a car made for comfort:confused:
On yours it just had to be a mistake and missed in the check box and the same with rear door lights. I see a cornering lights or are those side fender reflectors? I don't know if you had mentioned it but do you know if it was a ordered car? The auto level system and the Auto climate control tell me it was.
I would add the fiber optic's when you can and am sure as a kid they seemed so cool to you like me!
You could always add the "Master Automatic Climate Control Technician" to your Forum signature.:)
Oh to add, not that their not sweet as a 2 door, but to me these to me just have to be 4 doors!
They are like the ultimate drive the bride to her wedding car!

I did miss that, must of scrolled down to the next picture before I realized the first one was a video! Your thread filled up really fast too. VERY VERY nice!

I like the organ music you installed in the vid but not sure it was right for the car? Maybe more fitting for a hearse?
