1975 front speaker repair

Got a 75 park avenue
The speakers in front are mounted with a funky bracket
New speakers don't fit
I'm using old 8 track player anyways
Where can I get my original speakers redone with new cones
Also place that can servive my tape unit as its original

 

speakers may still be available at GM dealer. try this site not to rebuild, but purchase new.

I mounted a pair of 3 1/2" 8 ohm speakers on brackets under the dash for my am/fm 8 track player ( from a 1979 Camaro).

 

Have a picture of the speakers you need?

 

No pictures but I purchased them from ABC Warehouse in Southgate Mi. They were 8 ohm.

 

I used a company called Jackson Speaker for my 68 Corvette restoration with good results.

I called to purchase speakers from Turnswitch today. I had called a few months ago, but they didn't have them in stock then, and I wasn't sure what I needed at that point.

Unfortunately, the owner died recently. Very sad, as I just spoke with him a few months ago, and he was so helpful in explaining what I needed.

His daughter answered the phone today and said her brother may be taking over the speaker business, but I guess the radio conversion business won't exist anymore. She took my information and said she would reach out when they were able to do the orders.
