I need direct bolt on or adapter There is a metal plate that goes around the speaker to hold them on the dash. I need ideas
You talking about the ones on the side or the center one? Are you missing the ones that originally came with the car?
Thanks for answer Never had a center one. Only 2 outer ones . they are broken and the metal bracket does not fit any know speakers and you need to use the brackets.id like to get a center speaker bracket as well
I can't remember exactly what I did, but I do remember I only had to tweak the bracket a little bit to work with my speaker. My biggest problem was there was so little space on the drivers side that I had a lot of trouble getting that side to fit in. I know in '75 there was a bit of a redesign of the dash, don't know if that gave you a bit more room for the speaker on the driver's side.
Usually the magnet on the aftermarket speaker is too large (its round, not rectangular) and doesnt fit the bracket. IIRC, I cut out the center of the factory bracket.
