Well I'm glad it sold for what it did. I would have been unhappy if it went for just $250 over my last bid.

Sets the bar high for all 73 gs owners. Personally I think an original matching numbers bench seat stage 1 should bring even more, these are finally getting the attention they deserve. 72 stage1, I would prefer your green gs 455 to this clone .

It's not a clone. It's a legit Stage 1 car, with a lot missing and a lot modified.

But, yeah, I agree, that green car is gorgeous and so, so original.

It’s a 4 speed sun coupe clone. It is public knowledge it’s an original stage 1 non matching numbers. You are arguing semantics

    It's a nice older restoration of a 50yr old 1973 GS Stage1, with a 4 spd manual transmission.
Parts came from a rusty 4spd donor.
This car really doesn't need to make any excuses. At the time of completion in 2008, this was probably one of the nicest restored 1973 GS Stage1's in existence.
There weren't a bunch of frame off restored 73's running around 15yrs ago.
It was nice enough for a full photo shoot in a national magazine.
And, unlike a lot of restored cars that are show ponys that couldn't get out of their own way, this one was a runner too.

    Numbers matching.....No,
    Nice car.....YES!!!
