The car's should be in Kentucky by now. I'll let the new owner spill the beans when he feels up to it. I'm sure that was a fun drive home! Cheri asked me to thank all who showed interest and is glad the cars went to a good home. :TU:
Find a 73 and up for a roof panel, use the center of the roof panel for the sunroof top. Seems like it might be a real project but it can be done. Also it may be possible to find a donor that is my choice when you hit this wall. There was one on here this spring and it was in the mid west
Congrats on the purchase. Another saved from the crusher. You ask if anyone knew a talented fabricator. Take a look at the link below. It's a long thread so if you have some time run thru it from start to finish. Best metal guy I have seen. If he were closer my GS would be in his garage getting paint and body work done. You can join and PM him for an opinion. He has replied to my questions several times. Also while reading thru check out member e-tek as well. Another great fabricator. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182565 Keep us posted on the Century.
Glad it's turning out to be in better shape than I thought. Unfortunate about that roof panel, although it shouldn't be too bad to fabricate as John suggested. Keep us posted. :TU:
How does that top move. Does it drop down and slide back into the rear seat area? This one I found looks similar. http://orlando.craigslist.org/pts/4533382910.html
Mike, There are a few members in the Orlando area that may be able to assist you. Let me know if you need eyes on and I can pass it on to him to see if he can help out.
Looks like you have a garage to keep the car in, I'd get it open and leave it like that for now. :bglasses: Glad it went in good hands, and I agree completely with getting it running and driving it the way it is. I'd buy that patina clear paint from Eastwood, and spary the car with that. I think it looks badass the way the car is now.:Brow: Sleeper-status:beer
Here is a reasonable priced parts car http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.p...-GS-Sun-Coupe-350-car&highlight=1973+Suncoupe
I don't have one but I think I could help out. Last time I went to desert valley auto parts in Pheonix, they had a 76 or 77 Buick regal with a power sunroof. They may or may not not no they have it but I seen it and I'm sure its still there. That being said if you call and tell you they don't have one I'll drive up there and check for you when K can. I would think it would be the same. The roof has the indentation for the motor.
I would keep trying, I bet someone will be able to find a parts car. Would you be able to bring it to BG for the Suncoupe reunion? ray:
Well the new arrival is way more important but it could be just a dya trip. My wife is talking about just making it for the show day.
Not sure on the 73 but my 72 stage is on the face of the block running vertically on the pass side and some numbers are real close to being covered up by the timing cover
I had a Black 73 GS Stage 1 4 speed Sun Coupe A/C car that I sold in the late 80's early 90's that I've been trying to see what happened to it. It was sold in Tucson. Anybody? matt
