This gentleman ordered the car 50 years ago. He was 33, now 83! Very fussy guy, barely even in the rain like I mentioned earlier.
I’m will be 69 in a couple of days , I’m wondering at what age I will start to dress like that…god willing I last that long.
The vin in the window sticker you posted shows a 'U' and not a 'W'. So the car the window sticker belongs to does not have big valves (or should not). Just a standard 455. But with a 4 barrel and dual exhaust.
I tend to agree with you. Found WF code on the engine. But what's with the A9 which indicates Stage 1 listed before the high performance option listed on the window sticker? Some things not adding up all the way here.
If it was the hopped up 455, it would be called "Modified High Performance 455" ....WF is the standard 72 455.
" A rose by any other name is still a rose" ---------------- Sales talk is all that is.. A9 indicates specific carb, cam, heads, transmission, exhaust.. ect ect.. exactly like when it was called a Stage 1. I think the sales department might have thought "modified High Performance 455" sounded more dignified for the big cars... And it's wonderful trivia for the car show's and message boards... Big valve heads, specific cam and carb, transmission and exhaust equals Stage 1 to me, looking at it from a practical standpoint. JW
