Does anyone know if it sold, and if so how much did it go for?

I was wondering the Same thing, but didn't see any info on their sight yet.
I figure it should be available either Monday or Tuesday if they are like the other sales.

I found this one on the internet. It's from 2007, I believe.

Called the Auction House this AM.
Car was a NO SALE, High Bid of $25K, per the lady on the phone.

I offered the owner before the BPG event more than that and then told him to see what he could get. Looks like he did not even get what I offered and that is with out the auction percentage. Maybe he will call again, I have his # but, do I really want/need another 73, especially one with low miles that I would never drive?

I don't think I've ever quoted myself before, but it sure fits.

If the original engine was on the stand and ready to bolt in, the wheels and tailpipes were different, and the car had some winning history in some NHRA class with photos and documentation, then I could see a higher investment. The fact of the matter is there are, as Basketball Sam might say, "very few" who would pay that big dollar number for a car that is so far outside the Musclecar "box".

Is this not Chuck Stiles car? When I talked to him it sounded like he would never sell it. But that was a long time ago.

Exactly, I love the car and there isn't another one like it but I still think they are looking a lot of cash for a non matching numbers car

I think that car is incredible . I love it . I would be suspicious of any Drag Car being numbers matching . Usually a Drag car will sacrifice its drive train to the racing gods early in its life .
