Looking for a 1973 Buick Century luxus. Would consider a 74 or 75. Rust free, driver quality paint and interior. Will travel for the right car
73 was my first car. My parents bought it slightly used in 1974. I got my License in 1982 and drove the wheels off that old Buick. When I went college my brother drove it next. Any car hay can survive 2 teenage boys is a good one!
Hey Kurt, maybe it sounds like a joke but I've seen it the other way round: importing a classic american car. Check this one out over here https://www.autoscout24.ch/de/d/bui...ption:no_sort&packageName=&sortingPosition=14
That's a Swiss built car, the speedometer is in KPH, it goes up to 200: This is a Swiss Body Number Plate. The Swiss (and Belgian) built cars had the H for Flint, MI in the VIN, this was done for tax reasons. The original North American Body Number Plate was also mounted on the firewall.
Yep, quite some decent cars around here. Re-shipping to the states can be done, seen it with a '71 442 and a Challenger. Good luck, Kurt, shoot me a pm if you'd need help. Jens
I'm subscribed to this Swiss website where people are selling their cars. The Century is also listed there. At this moment 47 Buicks are listed on CARFORYOU.CH Click screenshot to visit the website Today 1000 Swiss Francs = US$ 1019.25
It will never sell for that asking price, that's way too high. By the way, that's also a Swiss built car, the drum speedometer goes up to 230 KPH: Click photo to view the advertisement
The odometer says 82726, but those are kilometres. 82,726 km = 51,403 miles. But.... it says 133,200 km in the advertisement, that's 82,766 miles. Looks like the seller thinks that the numbers (82726) on the odometer are miles.
So those cars came with a speedometer with a shift indicator and also P-N-D-L2-L1 on the floor shifter? I also noticed this on the Swiss car. If I remember well, this wasn't the case in the earlier A-bodies.
