1972 Riviera Rear End

    There is the alternative of the Pontiac 8.875..Frequently found in 71-73 Pontiact Catalina/Bonneville /Grand Yilles. Rebuild parts are available, and most of those cars came with a 3.08 gear which is pretty good for early 70's big cars. same rear was used in 73-77 A body wagons, and theryre a good source for posi diff's and tow package gears. I found a 3.42 set not so long ago, but they need that specific carrier break.. I dont know what the shortest gear the 3.08 carrier can take, 3.23's maybe?

    That was meant to be humorous but as sometimes happens on the internet it may not have come across that way. If you were offended, I apologize. I was just trying to remind you that you helped me ID my rear, which is a Pontiac 8.875.
