1972 Electra - wiper motor and washer pump replacement

    The car came with the motor and pump in the trunk and the motor was partly disassembled. I messed with it and it acted funny, the pump not acting at all, so I decided to get new parts from RA.

    The motor arrived with a mechanical pump drive (much like to original one), the pump, however, is fully electronic, so no gear drive. While I understand that this is easier on the install, I am not convinced I can run the drive gear on the motor with no mechanical pump installed, as I fear the parts may fall apart because of no counter parts on the pump side.

    Does anybody know, if I can install the e-pump over the mechanical motor drive?

    Ok, turns out the new pump has a flat backside and simply installs over the motor gears
