    SOLD - November 12 2023

Wife says I can only have one project car at a time and I just don't have the room for more than one anyway so it's time to pass the Electra on for someone else to cherish and look after.

So up for consideration is my 1972 Electra Four Door Hard Top.

Located in Central Massachusetts. Asking $10,000 firm.

The major upgrades cost over $10k and (frighteningly!) Quicken says all up have I spent over $20k with all the ancillary small items.

I'm only advertising her here and will only consider buyers or referrals with a solid recommendation from a long standing board member.

The bodywork is solid with original paint and though she's a looker through the camera lens up close there are fifty years worth of small dings, scratches, stains and sun fading. There is some evidence that water leaked around the rear window and a previous owner appears to have fixed one corner with epoxy. In the five plus years I've had her she has only been caught out on a handful of rainy days and never driven on nasty New England salty winter roads.

The Sniper fuel injection with Hyperspark ignition makes for easy starts and smooth running.

Current mileage is just shy of 113k. To my knowledge the engine has never had any major work done so I drive it appropriately. Has 60 psi oil pressure when cold and 20 psi at hot idle. In between with revs when hot.

It's an A/C car but has all but the bulkhead box removed to improve access and lose weight.

The major expenses and upgrades are as follows:

Front brakes - BAER rotors, Wilwood calipers
American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels 18x8 including the spare
    Waldron stainless steel dual exhaust
    T/A Valve covers
    B&M Cast aluminum transmission pan
    Reproduction floor mats
    Aluminum radiator
Front bench re-upholstered with orginal materials
Sniper Quadrajet, Tanks Inc Tank with in tank fuel pump all 6-AN Ultrapro hose plumbing
    Hyperspark ignition
Dakota Digital Gauges in customn dash panel
    Gabriel load carrier shocks
Custom center console for Double DIN Radio and Sniper monitor
Radio provides internal Garmin GPS, backup camera and Android Auto
California Car Cover - used for two weeks during house sale

TTT - Cruising days are just around the corner!

The Electra will be sporting a 'For Sale' sign for cruise night and grocery runs and I'll be putting it out on Craigslist at $15k OBO $10k is the least I'll take and offered at this to board members and personal referrals.

It's a solid car with some modern upgrades that make it less temperamental. With the Sniper ECU controlling fuel and ignition it starts up first crank every time and settles down fast.

Not a show car but if someone was willing to throw the cost of some minor bodywork and paint at it she'd be quite a gem.

    Here's a couple more pics

Electrical distribution block (yellow cover) Ground isolation switch. Fuel pressure regulator and various relays and fuse blocks.
Red top chrome cannister is coolant expansion tank.

    In good company :)

Nothing but crickets here and no follow ups to the handful of 'Is it still for sale' enquiries on Craigslist.

Not desperate to sell it. I've enjoyed a few outings this summer and should be some good cruising days as we head into fall.

Giving it a bump for anyone who may have missed it.

Threw together a video walkaround to go with the FB Market Place ad.

Quick and dirty edits and the sound quality is lacking at times but you get a good look inside and out of the whole car.

    Cheers
