I would agree. I prefer the standard Centurion wheel or the Rallye wheel in black. I have the standard LeSabre wheel which I have no feelings for.

Thanks for posting. Since you are a 71-73 B body guy would you happen to know if they ever came heater delete? and what did the rear speaker grills look like in cars so equipped.

Also, I noticed the manual side view mirror is different on centurions than on lesabres. Do you know the part number for LH and RH side view mirrors on Lesabres and what other cars they came on? Im looking for a RH and LH since mine is in only fair condition.

Gary, your car appears to have the non-remote outside rearview mirror. Most mirrors you've seen on Centurions would be the remote control outside rearview mirror, and there was a passenger side mirror (non-remote) that matches it in style. I believe that LeSabres with the remote control outside rearview mirror used the same style as the Centurion. (See the Willowmist Green '71 LeSabre in my first reply to this topic.)

I suspect that the manual, non-remote outside rearview mirror could be used on either driver's side or passenger side, but do not know this for certain.

While I have the parts books with the parts numbers, it will be a couple of weeks before I have time to check out any parts numbers.

Regarding the mirrors, here's information that a very knowledgeable friend of mine has written with respect to these cars:

"To the best of my knowledge and based on all the documentation I have, a factory installed RH mirror was NEVER an option between 1971 and 1973. The standard equipment on our Centurions was the non-remote LH mirror. For 1971 and 1972 the commonly ordered O5 remote control mirror option was available. For 1973, the option code changed to O2.

"My Buick Accessory Lists for 1971 and 1972 indicate the following: Accessory Part Number 981723 Passenger Side or replacement of Manual Drivers Side 1971-72 LeSabre-Centurion. Accessory Part Number 981724 Passenger Side Manual 1971-72 LeSabre-Centurion-Electra-Riviera MATCHES remote control.

"For 1973, it gets slightly more complicated as the standard RH mirror is not applicable to the LH side as it was in 1971 and 1972. Accessory Part Number 981918 is the Driver's Side Manual Mirror for 1973 Century, Regal, LeSabre, Centurion and Estate Wagon and matches 981921. Accessory Part Number 981921 is the Passenger Side Manual for 1973 Century, Regal, LeSabre, Centurion and Estate Wagon and matches 981918. The Accesory Part Number for the RH mirror which matches the '73 Remote Control Mirror (Accessory Number 981919) continued to be Accessory Part Number 981724 as a carry-over from 1971 and 1972."

So, in your case, to find a passenger side mirror that matches your driver's side mirror, you would be looking for Part Number 981921.

Here is the 1973 Centurion order form. It appears to me that the heater was standard equipment by this time, and suspect that this was also the case for LeSabre:

Brian, that is very helpful, I thank you for going above and beyond. Now I shall begin my quest.

Here is the RH manual mirror that you speak of that would go with the Centurion remote mirror. 9847199

I found out LeSabre was different. The correct LH mirror for 73 LeSabre is 9614194 and it is the same for the RH they are interchangeable. I just bought a nice NOS one on Ebay, then had to track down a gasket because the gasket that came with was for a chevelle. This mirror is identical to the factory one I have on the LH side.

It is the kind that is on a ball and socket and not in a housing like the Centurion ones are.

Lesabres did not have the factory option for RH with that style mirror but wagons did according to my research. This has all been very educational, thanks to all who chimed in.
