    Hey All,

I am going to give it one last shot on here before I send her off to the consignment guy.

1971 GS Stage 1 - 4 speed car. Have build sheet from gas tank. One of 114 Stage 1 - 4 speeds in 1971. RARE!!!

Car is NOM or trans. The 455 is a TS block and correct 71 heads all built to Stage 1 specs. Correct carb as well.

Cortez Gold and saddle interior. N25 bumper. Buckets with shorty console.

Bodywork all done (all rusty metal replaced - partial floors, quarters, inner fenders, rad support) and new vinyl top. Work completed in 2016.

Interior in good shape as well.

This car was a buddy of mine's from 1987 to 2005. He drove it daily until 1995 when he spun a crank bearing (don't get excited - it wasn't the original motor either). He sold it to me in 2005 and I sourced the TS motor and many other resto pieces over the years. I finally recognized that I'd never get the time to do the resto and decided to send it out and get it done. With the purchase price, the motor, other resto parts and the resto work I'm into this for about $35k.

I had hoped to get close to that for it but I am now willing to let this go for $30k. I'm not interested in shipping the car so you'd have to handle all that. I might consider a driver trade plus cash. What do you have?

Still never let her go! Had some interest locally, but no one that knew what this was. Need to find a BUICK guy that can appreciate it!

I'd be willing to go into the $20's for the right buyer.

    Hi Tom
Would it be possible to see a photo of the tank sheet. PM it to me if you wish. Where are you located.
I sold a 71 GS 455 car 5 or 6 years ago. We had GM of Canada documents with it, although it was a rough drive. we enjoyed.

I have some repop ram air plates that I am putting on and no, I don't believe I have any of the AC components. I'll take a dig into the parts bins and see if I can find anything.

FYI, make sure you use the correct screws - Easy to do more harm to the scoops themselves than good there. I think PGlade on here sells a hardware kit. I'm sure you don't really want to put much $ into the car - I cannot believe it hasn't sold. Documented Stage 1, 4-sp. w/AC with the paint and bodywork all done. Rare car. I wish I had room in the stable.

Tom, those re-pop Hood plates are probably completely wrong no one has ever repro them correctly for a 70-72 GS The ones that are out there are for a 69 GS.

To my Knowledge the aluminum seal plates are correctly reproduced for 1970 and 1971. The older repop plastic ones warped after they were on for a very short time.

Your right Ryan, I forgot about them in that case I would go with factory or go with aluminum an paint them black.

    Good Afternoon All,

I am still fighting with trying to find time to get everything squared away so I can show/sell the car. I know there are a few of you interested and I appreciate your patience.

My wife says I'm sub-consciously tripping myself up so that I don't sell! Maybe something to it, I bought it in 2005 from my best friend/car buddy. I was there when he bought it in 1988. 30 years of history!
