To paraphrase....a "clone". So many things wrong. But he "knows what he's got". Ahh, I don't think he does.

Yeh he is gonna have fun getting $60,000 out of that. Looks nice but no Saturn yellow was available in 71 so this at best is a 71 Stage 1 with a lot of money spent making it into something it isn’t.
But since he saw one on Barrett Jackson sell in the 6 figures he must “know what he has”

Wonder how long it will take him to realize he will be lucky to get in the 20’s for it?
The cost to have it brought back to even a Stage 1 GS would be more than 71’s unfortunately bring.
Bad attitude & real bad decision to do to a factory Stage 1 GS (if that is even correct info).
    Uh uh uhhhhhhh:(

vin number is 444371Z108528 vehicle is a Tribute car, who ever did recon of vehicle did a pretty good job. Was built in Fremont California. I got car out of Tracy California 6 months ago. You would be paying 100k plus for a real one

That's the problem w/building a clone (in this case it's not even) - To do it right, and if I built one you'd have to look @ the VIN to tell, it costs almost, if not as much, as to restore a GS exc. maybe the initial cost of the car and nice hoods to built it aren't cheap although in the case of a GSX clone, there seemigly must be a lot of hoods around w/holes already in them.

I just found a rust-free '72 post sedan shell & would love to build a "if Buick had built a '72 California GS" out of it, but it would still cost a fortune. If I was going to do that I might as well find a decent real '71-2 GS 350.

I seen an extremely well done 70 clone on Ebay a no sale at $25,000. Other than the Vin, you couldn't tell. If I had the cash I would have bought it.
