Will be interesting to see if/where the price goes. Probably not a bad deal.

the 4 speed car was for sale in Minnesota about time the riots broke out, kids were selling it for their mom, they knew nothing about the car

Is this real or a scam? The ad just doesn’t seem like it was written by a car guy.

The ad for the 70 GS 455 four-speed sounds about the same they both claim owned for five years.

I have some questions before I bid, so I sent a message to the seller. I’ll let you know what response I get. I think it’s a scam. If that convertible could be bought for $10k I’d buy it and also swap the TH400 back so quick it would make your head spin.

Hopefully it's not a scam because either car will be a great acquisition to a collection.

I hear that specially because it's the original transmission.

I agree but the lack of detail in the ad is something I would expect to see in a Craigslist ad, not eBay. The wording of the ad is fishy, especially the first few lines that say

“This 1971 Buick GS 455 is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven.”

So is the seller not the owner?

I agree Gary. Seems too good to be true, too. When I initially saw the auction, I was thinking of where I could scrounge up $10k in a week:D

I still haven’t received a response to the simple questions I sent to the “seller” on eBay.

    I smell a scam-a-lama-ding-dong.

He's also selling a 68 AMX same comment about on for five years that's the only car that had some bids so far IMG_4420.PNG IMG_4419.PNG

If that's the case maybe the kids were selling the car because their father passed away and they had no interest in the cars when he was alive that would possibly make sense of the ads. I'm going to send a few emails myself tomorrow about the white four-speed car.

Still no reply from the “seller” to the question I sent on eBay about the convertible.
