Wanted to run this by you all. 1971 350 in my GS convertible. Seems like it has a slight sputter or miss. Maybe it's normal. Here's the pictures of plugs. I think valve guide wear is showing. All plugs seem to be firing (I put an ignition light on each wire to see a steady pulse.) Is my assessment accurate?

Is it a high mileage motor or rebuilt, it may need a valve job.

No. 7 looks like it may not be firing. Plug the wire onto it and ground the threads then see if it is sparking. I've seen a lot of plug wires sending the spark but the plug not sparking due to cracked ceramic, which is pretty easy to do if your your spark plug socket is crooked when you tighten it.

61108 miles on the clock. Near as I can tell, not rebuilt. Someone did a crappy clean up, repainted the car (plenty of bondo) and rattle canned the motor in place.

Good point, I should recheck the plugs themselves to see if they are consistently sparking. When I got the car I checked and re-gapped the plugs but that was last year & I've put nearly 1000 miles on it since then.

U are running too rich via the carb or u either need the heads rebuilt (complete valve train) or a set of rings. I had the heads on my '72 GS 350 rebuilt with whole new valve train. My plugs were burning clean but i wanted the heads planed. They were not done at 86000 miles long before I purchased the car.
