I’m a sucker for clean original cars with documentation. This just seems like a bargain for the price. If the paint and body is as nice as he says it is, then I’m sure that alone would cost you $10k nowadays. https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/d/bremerton-1970-buick-wildcat/7274061928.html
Wow, buckets, console and a front Tri-Shield..... it has to be worth 10K! Looks like a nice clean car!
Wow, that seems like a deal assuming it's as advertised. I've never really wanted a Wildcat per se but if I had the space/spare change that'd be the one. I think I'd fly out & drive it back to the east coast once the weather clears & if the owner would hold it that long.
I would love to have it, but my schedule doesn't allow me enough time to go and look at it right now. By the time I talked to him on Sunday, it was getting too late as he was going to watch the Superbowl.
I hope you somehow get it so maybe I can buy it from you someday. I'm surprised a flipper hasn't snatched it up already but the ad is still up.
That would be like a double flip, the guy who is selling it just bought it in Nov and says he usually tries to buy and sell and couple of cars a year.
Once you've driven a Wildcat, you'll never want another A-body again. (I'm more than just a little biased, sorry! ) They're a whole different world. Sure, the car is a bit bigger and a little heavier. The performance you can get out of a Cat is phenomenal, there aren't many cars that will compare. This one looks like a real sweetheart. It's attractively priced, and if everything checks out and it's not a rust bucket, it would be a great deal. Last year for a functional console in a senior series car. (Oh yeah, that's not right either; the Electra Limited in 1975 had one, forgot about that)
63-66.......all had manual transmissions available. The add is taken down.....look for it to be for sale again soon at 15-18k. Peace WildBill
Thanks Patrick. I have seen a lot of Wildcats......never a manual trans car after 66......be nice if someone had some production figures.....Roberta ? Peace WildBill
Seems like I recall seeing a 70 four door wildcat with three on the tree. Maybe it was Pete Phillips?
Apparently Buick didn’t want anyone to buy it. In ‘68, the 3 Speed Manual prevented the buyer from getting power steering, power brakes, disc brakes, dual exhaust, tilt, cruise or cornering lights, along with any non standard axle unless they chose posi. Patrick Although a Wildcat with manual steering, manual brakes, a 430-4 3 speed with 3.42 posi might be a mean machine!
