A friend sent me this link today, seems to have occurred recently? Nice article, video’s, and end results too! Maybe someone on V8Buick knows the car/owner? If you do give him a “hi five” for us all!
I do remember P’ing off a few LS6’s myself back in the early 70’s in my Sherwood Green 70 Stage 1 4-speed, which is freshly restored and impressing a new generation of car guys …

Well, its about time that we have something new to look at.As to the 454 Chevelle the writer said that the Buick has a bigger V8.It does,by 1\2 CI .Bigger V8! Bigger power is more like it,Bruno.

I met the guy who races that car, he was staged next to me at that race..Theyre out of PA, and actually brought two 70 GS 455's this year, both strong running cars.

Hi Steve, let me thank you and also Larry the Wizard for buying me a nice lunch a couple weeks ago.Now the old story.I had gotten a 69 SS-RS 396-402 Chevy convertible. This young guy,he had a tow truck, not legal, he towed a GS here for me,but he towed cars just for people he knew,He saw the Chevy in my driveway and asked me if I would sell it to him.I did and his word was that after he was finished with it,he would come back and kick my butt.I see him about a year later and I asked him why he had not come around to race me,To which he stated : I guess you did not know it was me.What do you mean?He said we did raceme, but unfortunately,it was not even a close race, you pulled away like a freight train.Honest of him to admit that.Bruno.

And IMHO the Buick is just a nicer looking car.

We have a good time beating up on them with an engine that has been in the car since 2007. No race parts like cars would be done today. All old school.
