This is a “jumper” AC harness that comes off of the engine harness. At one ended, it plugs into the engine harness. The the other end, there are 2 plugs. There is ONE wire that comes out of one plug…. On one of my harnesses, it was cut off. On the other harness, there’s a spade, but no plastic plug cap. Can someone please post what the plastic plug looks like- IF there’s one that goes over the spade….
George, The brown wire ties into the factory harness which makes it a AC harness. See the plug pic. Hope this helps. Nelson .
Thanks Nelson. Is that 100% a 1970 harness? I have a 71 harness which looks like the one you have pictured.
OK.... I think I have it, as I am looking at the assembly manual... That plug and single wire goes BEHIND the dash, to the "AC compressor clutch control switch connector" (2 wire plug), and that single wire goes to the "blower motor switch control". HA! I just found it odd that I removed the engine wiring harness from the car and I did not remove anything from behind the dash...
