Spoke with the seller. Here is what he told me... He bought the car from the original owner and it came with a massive amount of documentation. Sherwood Green with black bucket interior. AM/FM, PS, disc brakes. AC blows cold. Car looks good from 20 feet but needs paint. It has been painted and it appears to have been a mediocre job. Quite a bit of blistering. Quarters and fenders are solid. Trunk is solid. Drives very well without issues. He was an honest person to speak with. I'll post some pics he sent me.
Good that you were able to get pics and the owner is " honest " but now with that blistering we all know what that means. Probably a 15 k car with 15 K of body work and paint to make it a 30 k unrestored car.
I like it, esp. if orig. no vinyl top. If the blistering is in the paint only still a big job to fix but not so bad if the metal underneath is solid.
Definitely filler under it already,so whatever rust was under it before is now worse. That could quickly turn into a can of worms. You’d have to really crawl around it and get a good a look at it as possible. Interior looks newer and in pretty good condition.
So sad though it commands same money as let’s say a70 ss 350 column shift , jacked up in the rear ….. mmm , go figure ??
I think this is the interesting point - the same people who complain that their cars aren't getting the monetary respect of Brand X are also complaining that this car is overpriced. As a buyer, you love the lack of respect, but as an owner (especially a seller) the same person can't understand why it doesn't get the same respect as Brand X gets. Start paying Brand X prices for your beloved Buicks, or quit complaining that they don't get the same (financial) respect as a Brand X base model gets.
Little bit of rust on the deck filler the other areas are product failure,..not necessarily rust,....a small spec of rust will result in a larger "pop mark" than wants underneath,...MOST of the time,...but being a folrida car I would be careful for sure
