Hello, my buick family! I do sincerely apologize for my absence - life is full of ups and downs.

Firstly, I will say, the last couple years hit us hard financially and I was not able to make progress, or touch this lovely gem. :(

That being said, I am now in a place where I am planning the engine rebuild. My overall plan is:

    1. Clean engine, replace gaskets, hoses, seals, etc
    2. New wiring
    3. Interior seats (they have been stripped to wire)
    4. Tires

She won't be painted, or fully done, but she'll drive - for the first time since the 80s!!!!

Any suggestions for my list, or is this a good place to start?

Also - if Mike or Doug can make recommendations for local shops, id love to hear about them

I just got caught up with this thread as it predates me. Great project and family connection, best of luck.

Same here! This is cool @JesiM My Stage 1 was built 01B as well 1/10/70. Found partial build sheet above gas tank for some other car with hub cabs and found the little sheets under the seats for a 3437 with M20. Mines an automatic. Guess I got someone GS seats for a 4speed. Lol.

I’m almost done my frame off restoration. It’s almost taking me 3 yrs to get in back together after body and paint.

Before that it was about 4 yrs of me taking it apart and saving cash. Only to send it off to body shop #1. 4yrs in body shop jail only to get in back tore down and in pieces. Another year for second body shop to put in back together.

Hang in there. Community is great on here. Help me out a bunch. Story is great! No history on mine other than I’ve had it for 20 yrs. just 12 yrs me wrenching, wow it’s taken me that long for me.
