One of the holy grail of muscle cars. One of 232 built in 1970. ( GS455 Stage 1 Convertibles) In addition to its rarity this is a one family owned, California car. Numbers matching. Fully optioned. Air Conditioning. Power windows. Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Top, Power Bench Seat, Tilt steering Wheel. Power Locks. One Respray in it's original color of Bamboo Cream. Front seat was reupholstered. It is otherwise original. All intake parts are original and intact. Original owners manual. Receipts back to the 1970's. NO RUST. All original body panels.

Oh, better play the lottery later. Would fit neatly next to my 70 GS350.

I posted a link to the actual dealer selling the car in the first post. It's $98,500.

Probably pickup a much nicer 455 car in better colors for 1/2 that .

All the options but the most important one?

Other than a '71-2 convertible or a bench seat 4-sp.

Seeing all these bench seat column shift cars makes me think I should go ahead with my project car. Then I remember it's a bamboo cream, NOM, automatic car. But it does have buckets.

How bad is it? I have 2 projects I'll be upside down on. Still better $ spent than membership @ a country club or going to the bar:).

I’m already upside down on my two ‘68 Firebirds, learned my lesson there, unless I repeat it.

It is in okay shape, got it here off the board some time back. Or maybe it was the Pontiac board. Floors, trunk are solid but needs a quarter and a fender. I have factory metal or NOS stuff to replace it. Really, the only part I’m missing is the bottom section of the back seat.

I really need to figure out what I’m trying to do. Save an old car or own something collectible/noteworthy. I lean to the latter lately, was more in to saving older cars a few years back.

Don't care for the color combo or bench seat and column shift but wouldn't kick it out of my garage after all it is a Stage 1 ragtop.
