That looks like the wagon I saw on Ebay last year. I think I even started a thread about it because it was so nice, but too far away for me. If I can't find a workable clamshell wagon, one of those would be a fine and dandy consolation prize.

    Blake,

That wagon is gorgeous! Wife loves it too.

If it's not practical as a second, or not as much your cup o' tea as it would be mine, try posting here and the BCA to see what kind of price you could get for it. My guess is that you'd be able to make enough of a profit on your original purchase price to make it worth your while and get that built 455.

I'd be interested to see what those hubcaps would look like with beauty rings. They look like they'd be really pretty.

Well guys I think it is safe to say I will not be ripping the wagon apart...I had no idea there would be so much interest in the wagon haha. It is a nice clean car. I will have to make the choice of whether to sell or keep. I will find another 455 for a skylark somewhere/sometime else.

Im glad you've seen the light Blake. Even if you're not a wagon guy, ripping that car's heart out wouldn't be the right thing to do considering how nice it is.

... I've got a 455 fully dressed sitting on an engine stand in my garage that I'd gladly swap with you but the distance is just too far.

Good luck - dont keep it in the driveway too long as you may find it takes a liking to you !! :beers2:

That wagon does look awfully clean and smooth to part out......that would make an ultimate sleeper though.......a procharged 455 would really make that beast come alive.....or if you can appreciate the "stock-ness" of it, I wouldn't mind having something like that myself and just preserving it because with how rare those wagons are and with how nice of shape that one is in, it'd be well worth the effort to keep it the way it is, even...looks to be in "picture-perfect" shape:kodak: And for what you paid for it, that is a bargain!!

Is the wood just put on over the metal? If I was to keep it I would like to pull the wood off and paint the car a solid colour.
