Stripe isn’t straight from the door to the quarter. Were they like that from the factory?

Some of the stencil kits are a little weird...it should be a smooth transition.

Yeh true, if ya gotta ask ya can't afford it lol. I actually like the apollo white GSX's better and if I had the coin that's what I'd be after.

Hi all. New to the forum but a long time Buick fan. Got hooked at probably 10 years old when a guy the next street down had a 1970 (Apollo White) GSX (and a 1970 442 to keep it company). I realize this is a somewhat loaded question but I am very much interested in this car and would appreciate any guidance on the fair value on a non matching numbers 1970 GSX. I personally prefer the Apollo White. I saw a really nice non matching numbers Saturn Yellow sell on Barrett Jackson in Las Vegas for a lot less that the numbers being thrown around above and just wondering if that guy just got a good deal. Thanks in advance......Jeff

Max Damage I'm working on it!

Opinions? I think it will probably sell for about $85,000. Just a guess.

Personally, fixing the stripe issue(s) would have to be factored in & I'd get an estimate from @nickbuickgs (Nick Serwo who built the engine) to fix them.

Here's another thread that should shed some light on your question: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1970-gsx-michigan.363375/

Based on that thread and depending on the quality of the restoration (Thornton is an Olds shop so there could be other issues) & cost to fix the stripes, high $60's/low $70's + Buyer's premium.

Good luck! Let us know if you get it. I'm somewhat indifferent on the color but would love to have that car.

My 5cents worth is value is determined by condition and correctness on a GSX are directly proportional to the value........This car from the pictures and description looks like a #2+ driver and should be in the $70-80k range but that’s with Covid-19 added into the equation also. Take Covid-19 out and it’s another $10k.

I don’t know what it’s worth , but that shop charges One hundred thousand dollars to restore a car . Plus what does it cost to purchase a restorable White GSX ?
