Looks like a good starting point. Still has the '70 model shroud and hose hook in place. I like how someone documented many things under the hood. Just in this one photo I can see 7 different things noted.

Does the "H" after the 58 mean it had a Dark Gold Vinyl Top ??????

Oh, I missed one in my previous post. It also has an arrow to indicate the rotation of the alternator:

I also find this interesting. The upper A/C bracket is gone and replaced with this:

All I’d do on the outside is dog dish it.
I still hiss & break out the garlic and crosses for those hubcraps

Fourth week of January build. Gold vinyl was discontinued about then (I’ve seen two cars with it, both were December builds).

Nice old survivor. I saw the 01D on the cowl tag pic but why is the vin so low (113746)? I have a Dec69 built Flint 1970 GS455 and the vin is 200---; just confused.

The VIN is low because the car was assembled at Fremont which built far fewer Buicks than the Flint plant. So by December Flint was already into the 200--- range (because that plant built only Buicks) while Fremont was only at 113746 by the end of January '70 since the plant built other brands there too.

Someone needs to scoop this up.

This would be a fun one to bring that engine bay back to life in.

That's funny Fritz - The only way I can picture my very low option '70 350 4-sp car "done" is with those hubcaps (aka Deluxe Wheelcovers or Volcanoes) - That's how it was orig. equipped but I'm thinking w/redlines instead of the orig. whitewalls - I have a mint set of the hubcaps off a low mileage Skylark for it, lol. At least if I don't like it it's an easy change but I like different and there weren't any cars with them that I saw in the show @ the Nationals. Have thought about Dog Dish, 14" Super Sport, 15" Sport & 14 & 15" chrome & I just can't see any of them on this car.

See now, that’s when my wife tells me (as I justify a rare part) ………

“Honey maybe there’s a reason they didn’t make many like that”:D:D

Just bustin yer chops my friend, but I really do use those for Frisbees after I rob the Tri-Shields out of the center:rolleyes:

And since I like you I will offer this Fritzenshiftin approved hubcrap option to volcanos since I know keeping me happy is tantamount in your overall car plans:D:confused:
