1969 Skylark Radio Install

Hey guys. I’m installing a restored original radio in a 69’ Skylark Custom Convertible. I’m having a hard time getting it into the dash. Doesn’t seem to want to go in. Any advice as for the best way to negotiate it in the radio opening? Do I need to take out the center A/C duct.

Ok thanks. So I wasn’t going crazy that I couldn’t get it in. Did you have trouble reinstalling the center duct after the radio was installed?

It took some time to get the hose back over the hard plastic duct, but it did go on
