I know a guy wanting to sell a 69 firebird. It has quality 15 year+ old paint job that presents very well with few minor dings it has a TA rear spoiler and fender vents. It is non matching numbers and non original colors with functioning Vintage Aire. I consider it mild resto-mod. Chassis is stock-ish, very nice 15" slot wheels, a stout 2500 stalled TH400 and a damaged full roller 455. He believes it through a rod, but nothing has windowed the block or pan.
He's at the stage in his life where he wants sell the ol 'bird to an enthusiast and move on. I would love to own this car but I've been out of the PMD game for 30 some years and the asking prices are all over the place. I don't feel up to speed to offer a fair value. I'm not interested in flipping it but I also don't want to be upside down.
The car looks great, inside, outside and chassis. Does not appear to have buckets of Bondo, lines are clean, pans are solid. It has a clean retro look with the wide rear slots matching narrower fronts, B&M, and stock location classy looking aftermarket gages. Professionally applied solid blue metallic with and black interior. The only real defect to the body I noticed was the rolled rear wheel arch flanges (not visible from the outside).

Also, the complete fuel system has been upgraded to support FI, but it's still feeding a Holley 750.
So, it's essentially a roller with a used roller drive drain in a cast iron box.
Any one willing to offer some advice?

    TIA

    Andy.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

I am restoring a 68 firebird convertible to driver condition right now and I find its a lot easier to find things for the bird than it is for my Buicks. I have a very good friend that would love to have a hardtop so please post up pics and a price when you find out what they want for it.

Without seeing in person hard to say but I’d say a hard top when done is worth maybe 25K so if you have to put 10 K into a motor to get it going down the road plus some other stuff I personally wouldn’t pay more than 12.5

I have 26 in to my 68 convertible running driving going down the road needs a few little things D4DA92EE-AB26-4239-9EB7-677D63EF67C5.jpeg 30B2AB8A-23AC-406B-AB0C-EF2F6EFD9882.jpeg
