Time to put away my "other" car for the season, even though it was 80 degrees today. Built 350 LT-1 with roller rockers. Must be an early 1969 due to the Malibu badging. 2 speed Powerglide and yes the buzz (power windows ) still work. Drums all around but it sits right, runs right & drives right. Look at the tailgate and you can tell the condition of the rest of the car. Long story short, This is a great EC. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

Always liked the El Camino body style. With all the Utes rolling around from Holden, I sure wish GM would bring at least one version here.

Plenty of people don't need a really big truck, but basically everyone needs use of regular sized pickup bed once in a while.

I am not positive but the grab rails along the sides of the bed are either original or vintage early 1970's. The paint is about 30 years old and still looks great. Again, This is my "other" driver. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

No, It is NOT a NICKEY car ( I truly wish it was !) but I do like the way the looks, runs and sounds. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

Time for a new bed cover. Any reputable vendors or should I go to a local upholstery shop? Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

Happy Labor Day to all ! Went for a short , albeit fast drive today for about 2 hours. I know it is a Chevy but what a blast to drive. LT-1 350 with a big cam and the original powerglide. A big plus, the "buzz" windows still work !! Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan:pp

I was hoping to see a couple at MCACN 3 weeks ago. Love the 1969 body lines and it is a window shaker. Now in heated storage until Spring 2018. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan

Did not see one last weekend at MCACN. I will contact Bob and inquire about next years event. 50 years after it was manufactured and one of my favorite years and body styles. You have to love the side bed grabrails that have been on it for a long time. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan

I've got one the these on my `71 and it's perfect. Flips up, so no unsnapping and rolling it up. And if you want it off just pop the shocks loose, lift it straight up and pull it off in just seconds. http://www.crafteccovers.com/El-Camino_c_7.html

Nice bed cover. The first area to look at for rot / rust is the tailgate and mine is perfect, still has the factory installed rubber on the bottom seam. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

If you need a NOS inner fender for the 70 -72 El Camino, I have one that needs a new home. It may be the same as a Chevelle.

This 69 El Camino will be included with my 72 Stage 1 Convertible listed here in cars for sale if the new owner does not need the 28 Haulmark enclosed trailer. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

Did you sell the trailer w/the '72 (for that matter did you sell the '72?). Was nice to meet/talk to you @ MCACN in '18.

Dano, Still have the Stage 1 Convertible and the 28 Haulmark trailer. Hope all is well with you & yours. Getting prepared for Memorial Day holiday with family and of course, Buicks. Everyone here is healthy and still employed which helps. Even the parade has been cancelled which frees up some time for back to basics including out in the barns. Stay well.
