What is the history of the car? Is the a Buick made car or a GS with a motor swap? Its pretty cool either way.

If it was a Chevy it would have been double and there’s plenty of them. It’s a shame

When Nick brought it to bowling green, didn’t it have black steel wheels and poverty caps? I remember it being laser straight.

Absolutely beautiful!! I hope it brings in the money and goes to a home that knows what they have.

side note is there anyone on the board that has a 69 documented stage 1 convertible in red paint. White top and pearl white interior? Still retaining its original drive train? And again documented. I looked at the Registry I believe I saw a couple reds. Not sure on the pearl white insides though???
    Gsxer? George? Brian?

$140,250 hammer, of course all the bidding happened during a commercial. They did give it a little love after the break. What a beauty.

Wow. Timing is everything. Nick would've loved to have gotten that for it when he had it @ Kissimmee a few years ago.

    $127,500 hammer

    -12,750 to Mecum

    -1,000 Mecum position fee

    Net : 113,750 - 71,000 = $42,750

$42,750 x15 % Capitol gains tax = $6,412.50 = $36,337.50 net . Not including any shipping expenses from 2 auctions , title , registration cost . Still not bad for a few months ownership to flip.

Capital gains on selling cars? I thought our taxes were bad up here in Canada, buy and selling cars is the one thing the tax man can’t touch you on

Yes, US capital gains apply on any investment where you make a profit.

Unless somehow you can do it in your Roth IRA. LOL.
