Hi guys. I found a 68 Skylark convertible 3 OTT 350 car I might buy to do a GS clone until I can actually restore the GS400. If I buy this skylark, I am having thoughts of putting a 4 speed on the floor and my 455 in it over the winter. Can I use a T-10 from a chevy? I am really green on what clutch disc and input shaft the actual Buick 4 speeds had. I'm not going for a totally correct OE type build. I'd just like to get a nice driver put together to take the family out in and enjoy. I doubt I'll go power crazy on the 455. All input is appreciated. Ryan.

Yes, T10 will work. You will need a GM-type diaphragm 11" pressure plate and a disc with the same amount of splines as the T10 input shaft. If it's an early T10, it will be 10 spline. You will still want to count to be sure

If its a chevy shifter, the hole in the floor may need to be in a non-buick-stock location, but since you have to cut one anyway and don't care about strict originality, its really a non issue.

The strng column will look funny with the shift lever removed, but you may not care. Otherwise you will need a floor shift column.

I might steal the floor shift tilt I have for my 68 now for the time being. Are the Z bar and clutch fork from the parts place for BBB's correct? I haven't seen much info in searching here on them.

No, they are correct for SBB. Kleiner or original OEM will be the only source for 400-455

    They will work though...

What is the difference between the SBB and BBB forks?
