The heads on my 67 GS 400 are cracked as are the second set I had. I need 67 heads as I want to take the engine package correct for the year.

Anybody got in cracked heads available?

Hey guys sorry been off a while my dog had ACL surgery on the 8th. Just removed her staples.
I’m just looking for a 67 set of heads (they don’t have the machined spot for the heat riser.)

I will have to check casting numbers.

    Ed, where are you?

I have a set that have been sitting for eternity. These are the "big port" heads that came off my '67 Electra. Casting #1372985

The usual cracks were welded and brazed. No trouble w/coolant.

These aren't unmolested though. Lots of work done.

    ed,
one of my 350 heads had a crack in the valve area. my machine suggested i send to an 'old guy'(lol) in mass and had him
stitch the crack. the repair is great even with a 6-71 pushing air thru it.
this guy has people from all over sending heads and blocks to be stitched. so a 409 block that was being pressure tested. no changed.
ohio flathead guys send a truck load to his house every year. hope he passes on his knowledge.

Ed, I have a set of 67 big port heads, not checked out, could have them checked if you are interested. How are you doing? Do you ever get down Omaha way?

    Hi Ed,

Got some photos. I'm still recovering from surgery, got scolded for for moving the cyl heads.

They've been sitting a long time. Details:

Intake and exhaust ported (sorry, no flow numbers).
Angle milled to get 59cc chambers, intake side also milled accordingly so no trouble w/intake manifold sealing.
    Stainless valves from TA (taperformance.com)
    Bronze valve guides
    Hardened seats on exhaust.
Dual valve springs and retainers, again TA.

They are dirty, rusty. I can try to figure out shipping, my sore back will be the decider in this.

And if you are interested and can help w/shipping, these are yours. No Charge. Zero $.

    Hi Devon
I can’t believe we are both fighting back pain. I can barely get out of a chair. I’m only comfortable laying flat on my back. I am trying to avoid any surgery. It is effecting my sciatic nerve on one leg.

No hurry on the heads take it easy and heal right. When you get a chance after healing my zip is 58103.

Thanks let’s talk when you feel better.

    Thank you Ed!

The cyl heads aren't going anywhere soon.

The back pain runs in my family. On top of it I FINALLY got a good diagnosis on the other pain! It took 30 years, got a good diagnosis from a new doc. "Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD). I know, I'd never heard of it either.

It's an auto-immune deficiency not unlike Lupus. Explains arthritic symptoms since childhood. Trying to not let it slow me down even at the young age of 54.

The surgery was my chin! Took a spill, lucky I didn't crack my jaw.

    Thanks for the reply...

    Devon
