1966 Wildcat parking brake routing

    I installed my trans and motor but neglected to take pictures of how the parking brake cable is routed around, through etc. before I took out the motor. My problem is the pedal goes to the floor and does not hold the car and yes I adjusted the all the way in doesn't help. The service/chassis manual is not much help. Any details are appreciated.

    I have a 66 open frame sitting in the yard. Will look to see if the E brake cables are still routed and take pics for you.

    Thank you. I am sure the problem is something simple but I am no expert on E brake routing. I think part of the problem is the attachment to the transmission crossmember, the way I have it could be wrong.

    Yes, I think maybe that hook in the last pic is hooked in the wrong place. Maybe turn it upside down and hook it in the top of the cross member. There should be a hole there to the right of the exhaust pipe in your bottom pic. That would be a typical cable position.

    You got it, thank you that was frustrating. I had the hook on the floor pan instead of the crossmember.
