I’m starting to collect parts to convert my 1966 GS to a 4 speed. Thinking hydraulic clutch since it was a factory auto car and I don’t have any of the pieces. Probably going to run a super t10. Am I better buying a kit or piecing it together? Any recommendations from someone who has done this?

An aftermarket bell housing will be a lot easier to find than the original version. I'd look at a hydraulic throw out bearing assy. Might be the simpler way to go

I made my own setup 15 years ago. I made a thread about it and listed all the part numbers. I'm still running it.

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

I used the American Powertrain Hydramax kit and am very happy with it.
Over 5 years on my '64 and lots of driving in all kinds of traffic.

And I swapped the OEM full bell, for a Bendsten 3/4 bell. (made set up and measuring throwuot bearing airgap much easier)
When I did the indexing, align and dial-in, it was spot on.
