After 14 years of sitting it out, I have decided to take my Special back on. My daughter is now old enough to go to school, and the time is right. I pulled it out of storage and set up a portable garage for it from Harbor Freight in my driveway. After that long sit, I was nervous about firing it up. I primed the oil and gas, and she came right back to life. Next I took her to have pipes put on to keep the neighbors happy, but I think I'm actually the happy one. Now the next step is the bodywork. Does anyone know where I can get rear quarter panels for a 64 Special Convertible? I was thinking about ordering from Wolf Steele in Canada. Does anyone have experience with Wolf?
I hope they have them. I was not aware of any aftermarket for 64/65 quarters. You may find a good used set, it seems like I've seen some on the board once in a while.
I will post how my search goes. I've been trying to track down panels on Craigs List or Ebay, but it seems that there's a few more people doing the same type of search I am. I missed out on a parts car nearby, and another quarter that was a couple of hours away.
Wolf Steel has them. I bought pair of the rear quarter patch panels. They were decent. They also have the larger patch panels but I don't know anything about fitment. To find used quarters is dificult and costly. To find them fast get them from Wolf.
Wolf steel has them for $400 if you get a set let us know how they work out for you Thanks Chris :TU:
