I've been meaning to make new brake and AC parts, and paint in body color. I changed the design of the AC setup a little bit- less bolt holes to hold the cover on. Heres a shot of the new ceramic headers and polished valve covers too

Got some more work done this weekend... Paint matching sure is difficult. These came out a couple shades off.
Here are some pics of the insulation and inside the evaporator housing

Howdy Jacob, Your work has inspired me. I have a small collection of late model, facelift, XJSs and a couple parts cars. Was thinking about using one of the rearends under my 77 Century. After spending the last 2 decades driving XJSs my 77 feels like I should name it the USS Century. I am the worst welder alive and tackling this is not an option. What do you think a fair price is to have someone put the IRS under this cost? What questions should I ask to increase my confidence level of them? Or any other advice that would be helpful. Guess it helps when you already have the parts and don't have to source them so that is in my favor.

I just found this thread. Super well done!!!! All of it! I love the fact you drive the car. That is the biggest joy to see old iron still rolling. I like the LS, I build them too. What heads/cam are you running? 243's? Are you on Instagram? Will have to send you link to my budddies 53 Pontiac Chieftan. LS/turbo/Vette suspension pefect patina.

    Hi Darren,

Sorry for the slow reply. the rear suspension is the easy end but its still some hard work to remove the torque tube, place the IRS in, put new brake lines, get a driveline made, etc. I would charge about $1,200 labor plus parts but I'm familiar with the process so someone else might charge more. also plan on doing the jaguar IRS brakes while the assembly is out of the car. Ask them if they are familiar with what a proper driveline angle should be and if they are comfortable welding. Or better yet if they've done some sort of job like this before. let me know how it goes

Thank you! these things are meant to be driven. It has 241 heads that have been ported and bigger valves installed by Lloyd Elliot. Very happy with his work. Texas Speed 224r camshaft. its more power than the car really should have haha. no instagram for me
