I cannot believe no one sells these aftermarket. If i am wrong please let me know. I am in need of both sides. Thank you, Joe
Try Mr. G's Enterprises http://www.mrgusa.com/pdfs/RechromeGM18-23.pdf May need a core to trade though.
Guys, Thank you very much for the info. You are better than Google! I called Pro/Fit and Legendary (as they are the manufacturer Pro/Fit carries). I am getting conflicting stories concerning if the bases (linked below) will fit the Skylark. Pro/Fit seems to think so, Legendary cannot say either way (this part is listed in their Oldsmobile catalog). http://www.profitautointeriors.com/...-135-ARMREST-PADS/71912/AP64GA-BASEFRTHC.html Any idea if these will fit a Skylark? For my own piece of mind, the coupes came with a 13.5" armrest not a 14"? I am making sure I am not missing anything. Thanks again. Joe
no one reproduces the correct 65-67 armrest parts..nuttin..no one..they are 13.5 in long...you have to find used, and you need to know what you are looking for...they are specific to Skylarks and GS's what do ytou need? the pads or the bases? i will post pics, i may have some extras, i will have to see...
I need both bases and pads.. Glen at Mr. G's said his should work and judging by the pic they seem right. but the specifics are killing me. The door panels are repos from Legendary if that matters any. Thanks for the assistance. Joe
pads are hard to get..bases are too..i looked at al the links and didnt see any thing roght, i have a pic of a pad..i will get pics of the base...legenadary is the best panels out there, you will have no issues there...before i post these..i dont have any so sorry to say i cant help, i may have bases this may look like not much to a novice, but this is about as good as they get, ive had 100s, and less thatn 10% are usable,,,they bring 50 to 100 each for one like this, better?...i have no idea..maybe 250 each...
Thanks Mark, that helps a lot. Please post a base if you can. I cannot believe I tossed mine. Live and learn I guess.
i think if you have cores, just dashes re skins them, but i think its a ton of money, like 300 ea.. live and learn..ive pitched so much stuff it makes me sick...ya just dont know til it bites ya...i will post bases tomorrow, i have to work and dont have time before i leave..its gonna be a late night...
The profit interior base is not what you need. Legendary makes neither piece you need. Mr. G's does have the correct bases. Chrome may be a bit iffy but beggars can't be choosers. Have two mediocre arm rest pads and one base. The base at the top of page 19 at Mr. G's is correct. Let me know if you are interested.
Dan, I will take the pads. Please message me or email me amount and how you want to proceed with payment. Thank you for the help in clarifying the bases. I think i will order the ones from G's. BTW beautiful car you have. Joe
Dan, Thanks for posting info for Mr. G's. If Joe passes on the base you have I am interested. PM me info please. BTW, I still have your car pics on file, very nice.:TU: Michael
Has anyone bought these bases from MrG's? The 'vacuum metalizing' finish sounds very fragile, based on their own description. Jeff ~
I bought a pair from them. Plating is just ok. But for the price its good. If you have originals getting them re-plated at another shop is probably the way to go.
Joe, I have a really good set of black pads and bases that need to be re-chromed. if interested PM me. Thank you, Les
I emailed/contact formed several outfits that do metal vapor deposit process and not a one replied. Maybe due to the Forever Flu and low staffing etc. I had mine done by Robert at ChromeTech before he retired. As I am not concourse conscient, I would repaint them a complimentary color and not look back. As good as his work, they are not durable enough for well driven car. (I drive every chance I get)
