    Guys,

Thank you very much for the info. You are better than Google! I called Pro/Fit and Legendary (as they are the manufacturer Pro/Fit carries). I am getting conflicting stories concerning if the bases (linked below) will fit the Skylark. Pro/Fit seems to think so, Legendary cannot say either way (this part is listed in their Oldsmobile catalog).

Any idea if these will fit a Skylark?

For my own piece of mind, the coupes came with a 13.5" armrest not a 14"? I am making sure I am not missing anything.

    Thanks again.

    Joe

no one reproduces the correct 65-67 armrest parts..nuttin..no one..they are 13.5 in long...you have to find used, and you need to know what you are looking for...they are specific to Skylarks and GS's

what do ytou need? the pads or the bases? i will post pics, i may have some extras, i will have to see...

I need both bases and pads..

Glen at Mr. G's said his should work and judging by the pic they seem right. but the specifics are killing me. The door panels are repos from Legendary if that matters any.

    Thanks for the assistance.

The profit interior base is not what you need. Legendary makes neither piece you need. Mr. G's does have the correct bases. Chrome may be a bit iffy but beggars can't be choosers. Have two mediocre arm rest pads and one base. The base at the top of page 19 at Mr. G's is correct. Let me know if you are interested.

Has anyone bought these bases from MrG's? The 'vacuum metalizing' finish sounds very fragile, based on their own description.

I bought a pair from them. Plating is just ok. But for the price its good. If you have originals getting them re-plated at another shop is probably the way to go.

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

I emailed/contact formed several outfits that do metal vapor deposit process and not a one replied.

Maybe due to the Forever Flu and low staffing etc.

I had mine done by Robert at ChromeTech before he retired.
As I am not concourse conscient, I would repaint them a complimentary color and not look back.

As good as his work, they are not durable enough for well driven car. (I drive every chance I get)

I just got a quote from Vacuum Orna-Metal. The quote was $85 each plus repairs.
