The 308s it is. I'll order that at the same time I order the girdle.

Reynold dont waste your money on a girdle. with your combo you dont need it. ive been running all this year without one. 3200# 9.70 @137.50, 58 runs on it and pulled the oil pan to take a look and the bearings looked like new. i shift this thing at 6400 and cross at 6400 with 80 psi oil pressure through the traps. my cam is a custom grind based on the 308 like gary k and alot of other guys said put it in. we ran a stock rod iron headed 464 with it in my buddys 3100# regal 13 to 1 no girdle short filled stock main bolts and ran 9.83 @ 136. and after 200? sum, runs sold it and it still running 10.50 in a 3600# skylark. if you wanted i could pm you my # so we could talk about your combo. later John

PM me your phone # and I'll buzz you Tue night. I was convinced on a girdle since I opted for Eagle 6.635's. They're a little heavier at 810gms vs. stock. I have a set of recon'd stockers, but a few of them have core shift in the pin area giving a difference in compression height. Not consisitent. I've gone thru several sets and couldn't put together 8 that I was confident in. That's why I planned on a girdle.

Similar to what I have. 308S with 11-1, 950 & heads that flow the same range all in a 76 Block.
Am also using good FACTORY Shot peened & polished rods with ARP @.0025", but have also added an oiling pressure balance line from front sender port to rear passenger oil gallery.
No girdle either but with deepened sump pan and baffle. Been togther for a few years now.

    Great cam.

    Looks like a good combo.

For what it's worth, my engine just has studs all around: crank, rods, heads.

Now I usually shift around only 6200 or 6300 rpm's.
