Anyone by chance have a nice used bucket seat cover & a pair of headrests? Maybe the seat cover from the the pass side from an interior that's been redone? Either the cover or better yet a seat as I'm sure re-using a cover is dicey (could trade for my seat if need be). A new cover just wouldn't look right but someone recovered mine in the wrong material. I'm just nowhere near ready to redo the interior, which otherwise is pretty presentable but Jason (@buick64203) & @Brett Slater have inspired me to work w/what I have rather than my usual mo of "tear the whole darn thing apart" as I have 2 basket cases ahead of this one & this is the only one that runs/drives & is worth anything so I ought to leave it together. I do have new Legendary f&r covers if someone is looking to re-do theirs sooner than later and has what I need. I also have a pair of headrests that have already been dyed Pearl White if need be as trade. I also have a very nice orig '70 split fold Pearl White bench seat if anyone needs. One tear in a seam which could be fixed. I just don’t think that material could be used to make the bucket seat cover I need but if anyone has done it or thinks it can be done (@Duane?), lmk. Thanks!
Dano, I am pretty sure the width of the pleats in the inserts are different between the buckets and bench seat covers. I think you are right, If you can find a complete passenger seat you will be better off……..although I just thought of an idea on how to fix an insert that might work. Call me and we can talk about it. Also, I bought some 70-72 White bucket seat headrests over the years but don’t remember what I have left. So I don’t remember how many are 70-71 pearl and how many are 72 off white. (I still need to do 1 more 70 pearl interior for myself.) That would be something else for you to call me about.
