Actually I lied about being unemployed, I have my own buisness, which is worse, At least when your unemployed your not losing money. I will make it to the track at least a couple of times before they shut down for the year.
And Steven, I have the original converter that came in the car when I got it, a 350/2 with a 350 turbo. I was just wondering if anyone knew the stall on that converter.
BuickBuddy, I'm pretty sure the figures are wrong because the first time I figured it I used my shift point and not my RPMs in the traps. :Dou: Need to get it to the strip and find out what the RPMs are at the finish. Does it matter what gear it's in cause it'll run 100 in second so I might finish in second gear.

You should be able to find out what's up by leaving it in 2nd. Shifting into 3rd just through the lights could spoil the results if the rpms came down below stall speed. Hard to guess on the stock TH350 converter for your car, it depends on engine output. Probably somewhere in the 1500-2000 rpm range. :Do No:

    Hope you don't mind a Ch*vy data point, but: 10.29 @ 129.45, 4.56 gears, 28.5x11.5 tires, trans top gear is 1:1 (Turbo 400).

Valid except for the fact that most BBBs don't like 7500 rpm very much!

Doesnt matter of its make to me.

so your car finishes at (roughly) 130 mph.

lemme ask this, what is the max rpm you would take that engine to and what was it at (guesses are fine) at the end of the race?

anyone else that can post their info like this?

    thanks
