What's the specs on the nitrous kit? I've been interested in spraying my 350 for years but this may be the tipping point.
This setup really gets me thinking:beer What would be required to run Nitrous safely? I mean from instrumentation, to induction and other tricks to increase durability and observation of the engine under these conditions. What issues can we expect with a stock drivetrain and what would be some worst case scenarios for engine life even under optimal conditions? If I can get the funds I would love to see what a relatively low mileage engine can do with a little help from a 125 shot:TU:

I have made many small changes to the car. My current limiting factor is the Nitrous solinoid failed on my cheater system and I currently have a Superpower shost solinoid on the car. All the videos that are posted by Sean are actually before the cam and then headers were added. I don't have good video of my after cam install, but can confirm that the car went the same ET with 50hp less nitrous, so this gives a good of how much the cam helped the car on the spray. And now I'm putting the motor back together this time only freshening the motor and some minor cleanup will be done to the engine. I'm anticipating 11.5-11.7s this time around. I made OVER 200 passes on that motor with the nitrous spraying. What finally hurt the motor was a torque converter failure that ballooned and hurt the thrust bearing.
bumping this old thread. So it's safe to say a 350 with a cam can be bottle fed for a bit without issue? I wouldn't mind rocking a bottle.
350 likes nitrous 75-80 shot knocks off at least one and a half seconds 125 shot knocks off almost 2 seconds. The 75 -80 shot is actually the most fun puts me right in the low 12's does not spin with the DR's at least not much, and run a 12.30 all day long plus not use a lot of nitrous. Right now I am doing a camshaft change so do not know what is going to happen there.
Running 12's is solid damn speed. You guys sold me on this. After I finish up the brakes, suspension and valve body. this will be my next purchase.
I did 11.81 as my best 114 mph 125 shot 373 gear and 28" tire heck that first post here is 2011 I did this in 2005. I know someone that could use a 100 shot to shoot it to high 10's
Yes 80 shot is safe you do have to use a Square bore carb and not a Q-jet. I use a dbl pumper, You have to back off the timing about 2-4 degrees from max advance. (2 degrees for each 50hp shot) I also use 5 gal of 110 race gas with a fill up of 93. I don't think it should be used with a Q-jet as the nitrous plate is a square bore set up. I also would rather use YR5 NGK plug instead of the NGK UR5 that is normally used as this has an extended tip and the YR5 plug does not. I use the YR5 plug when using the nitrous and this plug does well on just the motor I ran all last year and year before. They stay clean as long as you drive the car, letting it sitting around idling or not driving does seem to blacken up the plug some but cleans up with some spirited driving.
I've used the edelbrock spreadbore plate nitrous system with a qjet on a buick 1972 350. 100 shot got me into the hi 12s.
