Saw this guy at a car show tonite. Complete 87 GN drivetrain. He says its 400 lbs lighter than an 87 GN. Looked very nicely done.
You don't have to re-invent the wheel...
    Car was originally a V6.
Said he paid 2k for the whole drivetrain 2 yrs ago... 20230529_172539.jpg 20230529_172454.jpg 20230529_172518.jpg 20230529_172559.jpg

Like you said nicely done, I would be curious to see how it drives with a four-speed.

It's a 2004r auto. Only two pedals that I can see.

Definitely an auto. Trans dipstick is visible in the engine compartment pic.

    Nice swap.

WOW, that’s pretty cool, it’s different from the perspective most would drop in a V8

Seem to remember a black 64 Skylark, maybe a convertible, at the GSNats around 2000 or 2001, with a GN drivetrain in it. About the same time the Blackhawk was brought out on display the first time.

    Very cool!

An automatic but he has what looks like a 4 speed shifter in there? This car is the epitome of bad ass.
