Only seat frames that fit are 61-63 Y body BOP and Chevy. 64 and newer A body is different. Most of the original materials used for seat upholstery is still available today from a few vendors. I took the seats from my 63 skylark to a local upholstery shop that does hot rods, street rods and such. He had no problem getting the original seat upholstery materials. Keith
Thanks so much for the info Keith I don't know much about these cars so my next questions are How do I find out what body my car is and what does BOP mean
I'm not sure what you mean by the "what body" question. The title says skylark convertible so that would be your body. BOP = Buick, Oldsmobile and Pontiac. Bop is a very commonly used term in the classic car world. Keith
All 61-63 GM intermediate sized cars are Y bodies. They are a unibody built car, meaning frame and body is all one unit welded together. The 64 and up GM intermediate sized cars are A bodies. They are a body on frame car meaning that the body is set on the frame and the two are bolted together. Hope this explains everything for you. Keith
Does anyone know where I can get vinyl upholstrophy and cushions for a 62 skylark convertible.I have looked at about 15 websites and can't find them anywhere
Do you know where I can get the vinyl upholstrophy and cushions for my 63 skylark.I can't find them anywhere
You will need to have them custom made as Woody suggested above. I don't think the covers are reproduced, but the fabrics are available.
Do you know where I can get the fabric. I have tried and have looked at about 12 websites and can't find it
Does anyone know where I can find a heater core for my 63 Skylark convertible.I have found one for a 64 but it doesn't look like it will fit
There is NO aftermarket ones made. You have two options. Swap in a used one and hope it works lol. Take the one you have to a radiator shop and have it soldered or recored. Keith
