not mine 1964-67 Buick Special, Skylark and GS group on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/607...ecently_seen&multi_permalinks=891761625282062 Ive decided to let my 65 GS 3 speed thin pillar coupe go. Its a very low production and low option car that runs well. The car doesn't have the original engine. It currently has a 63 401 that was rebuilt and runs very well. The clutch is new. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced with correct NOS bearings. Front and rear window channels were repaired and glass resealed. Headliner was removed when I first owned the car due to mouse nest but there is a new one that comes with the car. Dash pad is nice but isn't in place in the pictures due to a broken plastic bezel. I have a replacement bezel. Seats are old and worn and need to be redone. Only one small rust spot on body at rear driver's wheel opening lip. Engine currently sports an Edelbrock 750 carburetor and a recurved electronic converted distributor. It's extremely snappy. Rear gears are 3.36 ratio. Car also comes with a set of new door weather strip seals. Price is 12k firm!!
Jim, do you have info of who owner is? I would be interested in it. I am a member of the facebook group but can´t find the car in the group.
Russ Martin also has a 3 speed 65 GS avail. He'd prefer a trade. Posted on 1/31/23. You can contact him via his website at https://www.nailheadbuick.com
I've never had so many responses to a for sale item before. You'd think I was offering a 70 GSX for pennies. I turned off commenting first but that didnt help. Had to pull the post down completely and that helped a little.
My issue is storage space and the will power to not tear it completely apart like I did my 66. If I could just enjoy it without being perfect id be so much better off
I've got someone coming tomorrow to check out the car. If he doesn't take it I'm putting it in storage until spring
Now you have me feeling like I am going to regret you selling it. Best to wait. Once those nice sunny spring days appear you will get the bug again.
No call and no show from the guy who just had to have it. Car is headed to a friends barn for storage until Spring.
Spring is only 6 weeks away! I'm glad you didn't sell it, guarantee you will regret it if you do. At least get the 66 on the road first, just in case you decide that one is not what you want.... you'll still have the 65 for a backup plan.
