Peak is at 6400 rpm, 703hp.

I’ve got an extra 8 3/4” pumpkin, might just set it up and give it a shot. Might try some 3.90’s if I can get some. I’d be happier than a pig in sh*t if that old car broke into the 9’s. Of course more gear is probably gonna mean worse wheelies. But I’m starting to grow a set and driving through them. LOL Scares the crap outta me and fun all at the same time.

They make bars to keep that in check

Buick Nut has been after me to do some, but I’ve gotta do them old style to match the car. The old car spring and casters style.

Pull some timing and let it leave like gramma, then bring it in and let it eat. Then get more aggressive with it from there. Leave the bars off.

I’ve got one of t/a’s HEI’s in it. It has no msd, nothing. Timing is backed off a bit from where it made the 703hp. Think it was at 35 on that pull. I didn’t have a light handy I just backed it off a tad.

Wheely bars probably wont fix anything, may make things worse by unloading it.Get a better front shock to control front suspension,a better rear shock to keep the rear tire under control. It will go faster with that.I don’t worry about crossing at a peak rpm as some old school thinking used to be.Most of the time a small tire car with some torque will like less gear to keep it under control early because of the starting line ratio.Just what I have found.
