455 flex plate

    Putting a 455 in son's Skylark using a 350 trans we have instead of a 400
    What flex plate do we need unsure when I look up part if it is for a 350 trans with 455 or not.
    Or are they the same for both trans just different for the engines?
    Was in a manual car so believe just need to remove pilot bearing and bolt on flex plate??

    The flex plate is for the engine, not the transmission.

    The SFI one that Jim Weise sells is so nice, I would use one on even a stock engine.

    What about engine balance? Stock is external balance so components balanced together. Didn't think it was a good idea to swap flywheels...
